Description
A shrub rose that produces fully-formed double flowers that look like a tea rose, but have excellent disease resistance to fungal diseases such as leaf spot and powdery mildew? Meet the Brindabella Touch of Pink Shrub Rose, a vigorous beauty that sets the new standard for shrubs roses with superior genetics for disease resistance and the most perfume you could ever expect in a rose in the truest sense that will stop any passerby in their tracks.Â
The Touch of Pink Shrub Rose produces an abundance of super-fragrant, fully double, white flowers with a “touch of pink’ at the center, aging to pure white. The fruity, citrus perfume is to die for. Bloom cycles occur over a very long period from early spring to late fall. The flowers are self-cleaning which means no deadheading required. Though very vigorous, this low maintenance rose grows to only 4 feet tall and wide in 2 years time. Very well suited to home gardens and commercial landscapes alike.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 3 to 4 feet tall and wide, the Brindabella Touch of Pink Shrub Rose is ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings or as a colorful hedge in landscape and flowering shrub borders and home foundation plantings. A fine addition to rose gardens, cottage gardens and white or pink theme gardens.
Suggested Spacing:Â 3 to 3.5 feet apart for hedges; 8 feet apart for space between plants
Growing Preferences
The Brindabella Touch of Pink Rose is easy to grow in average, moist but well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. As with all other roses, to avoid powdery mildew, morning sun is a must to dry dew from the leaves. Afternoon shade or filtered sun is fine. We suggest 6 hours of direct sun light for best flowering.
Maintenance is minimal with no pruning required, though the plant can benefit from it. An annual pruning in late winter, at which time branches can be cut back to about 18 inches above the ground, will result in a fuller plant throughout the growing season. After this hard pruning, your rose will quickly flush out and start blooming with the arrival of warmer spring temperatures. Deadheading spent flowers through the season is not necessary however will encourage more new buds and flowers.

The packaging was great, it had a lot of green to it on arrival, and the pruning was professional. I have it in my kitchen window, my first plant in my new home. It is moderately happy not getting enough sun it’s winter, but it is growing, and throwing a few shoots. I will definitely buy from Wilson Bros Gardens again.————————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
